    Client on a new win8 machine is getting this error when trying to print. Unable to process the Lockfile: "" Crystal reports ActiveX Designer - Transaction Journal"" Processing cancelled I thought this might be the CRPE32.dll issue but that did not fix it. BTW Sage 100adv 4.4

    There is an article on the Sage KB (I don't have access right now) that tells you how to search the registry to remove the lockfiles. Once you've done that, you might consider using PL_AdvancedOptions_UI from File > Run to uncheck the ""Use Lockfiles.

    I meant to say Windows 8 which is not supported.

    Richard, if removing the lock files in the registry does not work I wonder then if it is a Windows * issue, which is not support on Sage 100 Advanced 100 Version 4.4

    I use Mas 4.5 single user on Win8. I had to map a network drive to Sage 100 to get my crystal forms and updates to work.

    This is a first for me on W8. Didn't know client was going there. She had to buy a new pute and wherever she was getting this from told her she couldn't get win 7 anymore, uh:>( Anyway any suggestions on how to change the permissions on the registry on Win 8, have not worked on that platform yet. @GeneUlrich I felt your pain on that thread. Thanks to all the responses.

    @RichardBryant - any luck with this old post? Have a client just upgraded to 2013 and they get ""Unable to Process the Lockfile"" on Windows 8 and Server 2012 - but the Windows 7 machines are fine. IT swears everything is the same, rights on printer, etc.

    Have seen this cured two ways. The first is that the unable to process the lockfile relates to paperless office and a stray lock file which I had to clear via regedit. The other was rerun workstation setup and clear some type of conflict with Crystal versions.

    thanks Wayne - I've sent them the instructions for the regedit fix - if that doesn't work I'll have them reinstall the workstation.

    Can also uninstall paperless with PL_AdvancedOptions_UI, and install with ""Use Lockfile"" unchecked?
