Client on 4.00 trying to print PO - ""Error 47 in SWCENG line 1660"" - not on the KB that I see. First error was in SY1RPM - happened to find a recent copy and error changed to this. Something bad apparently happened re forms and PO, but can't tell what file to try next from my recent copy. Help!

It could be printer-related. Did they change or add printers? Try a different one.

You might want to reinitialize the Crystal PO work tables as well since the job never completed.

Different form work? From different module? Can it preview? ABC company data work in PO?

try updating UDF's and then verify dtabase on form

Different printers, different company, different form - nothing working, exact same error. Error implies SY1USR file, but it's empty and was on the copy, too, so I don't think that's it. No UDFs. When I first looked in SY1RPM for original error, ALL P/O (and P/R, as a matter of fact) entries were missing. Something bad blew up... :-(

Is it just one user and/or workstation?

Not something odd like one invalid printer?

They're all gone now, but I think it's happening everywhere. Printers all seem valid - not many to choose from.

Did you create a new form, same error?

yes, new form, different company, etc

If it's global then sounds like maybe a bad system file - SY1RPM?

That's the one I already copied over from the backup, which got rid of the original error. But I can't figure out what the next file is - I've checked last dates on the files in SOA and only a few were affected today and I've copied most of those over already.

Do any graphical forms work in other modules?

And the .rpt files exist in the appropriate Reports\uuu-ccc directory?

Theresa - that ""other module"" question gave me goose bumps, but thank goodness, it's working elsewhere. Put yes, the crystal report is out there (I also had to copy it from backup because my screwing around put the default out there, but at least I managed a save there)

In sy1rpm, do you see the forms from the other modules that work but not PO?

    Yes

    Can you print std form?

I would ensure no users are in PO module and reinitialize the CR printing files in PO.

OK, I think I have the answer but haven't logged in to try it yet. There were about 5 files that all were modified at the same time in the SOA folder yesterday. I had copied most over but hadn't touched the sy0eop and sy0dd2. I don't know WHY I didn't try SY0DD2 - I remember thinking it shouldn't have anything to do with a data dictionary file, when I really should have been asking Why has that data dictionary file changed? Anyway, an MD friend looked up the error and it pointed to that file, so in theory, that should do it. Or at least it will give me a new error. :-)

It worked. I actually copied over SY0DD2 and SY0DCT because they both had the same time stamp. POs are now printing. BUT I warned them to test everything else, since those were system files that were hosed, not PO. Very very odd - records weren't corrupted, they were just missing, like someone had told MAS to uninstall PO. The network guy was there working on someone's machine about that time, but I'll be darned if I can figure out how he could have done anything to cause that. ANYWAY, now I can head into the weekend without that over my head. YAY.
