Client on 2017.3 Advanced - no enhancements, except Avatax connector. IT is planning to wipe the server and upgrade it to Server2012, and assign it the same server name. When it comes to putting Sage back, the Sage SOP is to install and migrate as if we are changing servers. IT's plan is to copy back everything to the same location/path. Is it possible to install the programs into the restored 2017\MAS90 folder, since there won't be registry entries, or do I need to go the migration route?

I would require the Install/Migration, especially with an Advanced and third party. I think you're looking at future problems if you copy back.

Agree with Nancy, just move the ""copied back"" MAS90 to another location to migrate from.

Third on that one, however this is helpful as you wouldn't need to redirect anything like paperless office or memos. Though it might be a good time to upgrade them to 2018 as the steps are nearly identical (assuming they don't use payroll or TC).
