  • 1.  Client looking for eCommerce and Credit Card integration.

I have a distribution client that I believe is looking to implement eCommerce and integrated Credit Card Processing.  I have some past experience with installing Credit Card Processing (Paya). The client will be upgrading to SAGE 100 STD v2025 PU1 in November. Here is the latest comments from my client:

Thank you for reaching out. I looped in our website developer to our plans. He suggested eBiz or Fortis. Apparently Nuvei has some hiccups with Magento.

From website developer…"All three of those payment systems will work for Magento, but I've seen some issues with Paya/Nuvei and the way they handle their payment form tokenization - it will allow card runners to check to see if card numbers are valid from outside the Magento website. Fortis and EBizCharge are both good."

Kelli and I met with a rep from Fortis and are going to reach out to a rep from eBiz.

Based on the above comments is there anything that I, or my client should look out for. Can anyone confirm that Magento with Fortis or EBizCharge is a good combination?  Thank you for any input.

Are they integrating with Sage 100?  If so, with what?

I'd also have them confirm merchant fees between the three options. Our recent Repay Client is now being charged a Sage 100 'interconnection' fee.  From what they explained to the client, it's a fee because the Nuvai/Paya vault is no longer free for them to use. (I don't know the specifics or validity, of this statement). Just that they now pay the fee monthly and have started to look for Repay alternatives.

I am pulling clients from Repay.  Their customer/tech support is non-existent.  Clients have suffered enough.  Talk to @Tom Nanci regarding Nuvei (fka paya) for insights on the product.  They seem to have caught up with the others.  Tom will get you the information needed.  I have a client using Certipro for their eCommerce integration with Sage.  Yes, no matter who eventually lands the business, be on the lookout for fee creep.  It is like kudzu in the south.
