Client just upgraded to 4.5. Now they can't receiv

    Client just upgraded to 4.5. Now they can't receive RMAs. Here's what they say ""The product lines were setup wrong so I updated them all to allow returns. I guess I need to APPLY the change now, but the check box is greyd out?? For Allow returns on the Apply Product line screen."" Any ideas why the check box is greyed out and or how to fix their products to allow returns?

    Do you see the return check box on the items themselves or just not on the product line? Can you check the box on an individual item?

    I think it is grayed out because it is actually controlled by checking Restock Methd/Chg. You can't allow returns without specifying those details. Behavior appears to be the same in 4.4 and 4.5.

    @PhilMcIntosh, just confirmed with the client that he added the information to both the Method and Rate fields, but the APPLY window to Allow Returns is still greyed out. @RobertaFerguson, I'm having him attempt to update an individual item as I type. Will let you know what I find out.

    I think it's Backorder that has to be checked.

    But if you check Restock Methd/Chg and click apply, doesn't it apply all 3?

    Deb The Allow Backorder Check Box has to be on then you will be able to turn on Allow Returns Connected by DROID on Verizon Wireless

    Weren't they all set up correctly before the upgrade? Did it all change during the upgrade? If they had already created RMA's before the upgrade then they must have been setup correctly in the old version?

    WAG - if they came from a very early version could it be a role maintenance issue?

    So even if an item isn't setup as returnable, you can create an RMA for it. And you can receive that RMA. So perhaps we are all barking up the wrong tree and the real question is - what happens when they try to receive the RMA?

    Instead of spending a lot of time troublshooting why I couldn't ""apply"" the changes, I've just imported into the CI_Item to update all individual items after updating the product line. I've seen that problem as well for many years when implementing RMA later for customers.

    Ok, so this is resolved. On the APPLY dialog box you must check the Allow Backorders box, and then the Allow Returns will be available. It's stupid, but it does it.
