  • 1.  Client just upgraded to 2013 from 4.3 (Advanced).

    Client just upgraded to 2013 from 4.3 (Advanced). One user logs into MAS on a Citrix server (Windows 2003). They have a signature object in the AP check form. For her only, when she prints checks, the signature appears as a negative image (white signature on black background). This issue presented itself in around 2004/2005, but someone managed to get it working for her (but they have long forgotten how that happened). Since the upgrade, the image appears as a negative again (same form). I copied the signature object, made a negative out of it (in Paint), and put it back in the form. Now, she just gets a solid black box. Only for her in her Citrix session. Anyone have any ideas/seen anything like it? I just created a new form code from scratch and copied the signature into it. I asked her to test, but I haven't gotten a response back yet.

    No printer"" box checked or unchecked? I have found reversing that setting cures a lot of Crystal weirdness.

    I have also found that sometimes printer settings that have to do with color / black & white, or ink saving options like no background etc... can cause ""crystal weirdness"" as well.

    @PhilMcIntosh - printer box change didn't help. @GregStiles - I tried changing a couple different settings, but no change. The printer is an HP LaserJet M4345 PCL 6, using a HP 4500 driver. I changed the driver to HP 4300, but the user is out now till later this afternoon, so I won't know results for a while. If I send the check to Paperless, the signature is normal, it's just to the printer that it's reversed. Weird.

    Have you tried saving the image in a different format? BMP, TIF, PNG?

    So that narrows it down to the driver and not Crystal settings. We have a customer hosted with Citrix who ended up solving check printer issues by using the HP Universal Printer 5 Version 5.4 (PCL 5 not PCL 6) instead of the device specific one. Their printer was a 4050 with a Wycom signature device in the mix.

    Printer driver was the issue. They installed the printer driver for that model printer and problem solved.
