    Client is trying to print the Aatrix 941 but can't get it out of Demo mode. Have verified the keys are current and correct. Keys will update via the system configuration registration tab. Keys match the portal. PR expires 2/18 and normal CC expires 11/17. Thoughts?

    Standard or Advanced? If Advanced, run it MAS90 mode.

""Demo Mode"" displays at the bottom (next to activate button) of the eFiling form selection window ""Demo"" prints on all eFiling and Reporting forms after installing an update Unable to activate eFiling and Reporting when using Sage 100 ERP Advanced In order to continue to use the Sage 100 ERP Federal and State eFiling and Reporting functionality within Accounts Payable and Payroll you MUST INSTALL the 2012 Interim Release Download (IRD), the 2013 941/Payroll Update, 2013 IRD and 2014 IRD. All updates are located via download on the Sage Support Page, https://support.na.sage.com, on the Year End Center page. No ACTIVE support plan. Resolution The Federal and State eFiling and Reporting application require the following: ?An active Internet connection ?A current Sage Business Care plan validated by your registration information If you are getting prompt for Username and Password when launching eFiling and reporting, do the following in the exact numbered order: 1.Install the 2012 Interim Release Download (IRD) (this update already included in 4.50 PU 5 and 2013 PU 1 or higher) 2.Install the 2013 941/Payroll Update (this update is already included in version 4.50, PU 6 and version 2013 PU 2 or higher) 3.Install the 2013 IRD (this update should already be included in version 2014, by PU 3 or 4) 4.Install the 2014 IRD IMPORTANT NOTE: If you must reinstall the 2012 IRD for any reason, the 2013 941/Payroll Update and 2013 IRD and 2014 IRD MUST be reinstalled in that order after the 2012 IRD. All updates are available via download on the Sage Support Portal, After logging into Sage Portal, on the left side under My Products click Sage 100 ERP, under Support Resources (bottom) click Sage 100 ERP year end center Warning: If you have 3rd party modifications installed, please contact the 3rd party company to verify compatibility with 2012 IRD, 2013 941/Payroll Update and 2013 IRD and that the mod program is not dependent on Sage registration keys. To verify if 3rd party mods are installed, preview the Installed Modules Listing (located under the Library Master, Reports menu), look in the Developer column for anything other than Sage or Sage Software, Inc. If after installing required updates above your application comes up in 'Demo Mode' AND you have an active Sage Business Care plan, it is most likely caused by a Registration mismatch. An ACTIVE Sage support plan is required. We may have generated a new Sage 100 ERP product Serial Number and Registration Key when we released Sage 100 ERP 2013, which will require you to update your Registration Information so that Federal and State eFiling and Reporting will function properly. Your correct Serial Number and Registration Key can be found on the Sage Portal www.customers.sagenorthamerica.com or www.partners.sagenorthamerica.com. To access your registration information on the Sage portal, please do the following: 1.Login into Customer Portal 2.Click on Activation Codes menu and select Details 3.Select your applicable product from the drop down. 4.Locate the line that shows the Application description for SYSTEM SETUP Note: Unlocking Key = User Key Activation = Product Key Once you obtain your registration information, please do the following to update your Sage 100 ERP registration keys: 1.Open Library Master, Setup, System Configuration 2.On the Registration tab, verify your registration information (Customer Number, User Key and Product Key) matches exactly what shows on the portal. If it does not, click the Edit button. 3.After entering the correct information click the Activate button 4.Click Ok to prompt ""Activation was successful"" 5.Click Accept 6.Try activating eFiling & Reporting again, from either Payroll, Period End, Federal eFiling & Reporting or Accounts Payable, Reports, 1099 eFiling & Reporting Related resources eFiling and Reporting Activation does not respond when clicking OK at the Verify Account Information window. Error: ""eFile Command Unavailable. The eFile command is unavailable in evaluation mode.     I had this last year, Sage indicated to update my local Aatrix then copy a Forms(?) table to client side, do not Activate, should let you in and might also be updated. I was searching for the post, can't find it at the moment.

    2016 ADV, automatic updates working, I verified the keys. Waited 15 minutes for Alec to come on line. He felt it was firewall settings (even though I could download the updates). He sent me the KB on the firewall settings. For the quick fix, I copied the **SY_FormseFilingVersion.M4T** table (@NancyHanson solution) from **MY** MAS_system folder to client's side. Client was able to get out of demo mode for today's processing. HATs off to the rapid responses above. Much faster than Sage!

    x-ref to Sage KB - I believe the issue above experienced by Jeff is that the SYS record is missing on some customer sites (just ran into this). https://goo.gl/APHepA Rather than try to create it, copying a version to their system which has the SYS record is the faster fix. Note that some versions of my Sage did not have the SYS record (there should be a total of 3 records - the SYS is the important one). I tried to copy a version without the SYS record from my local setup to the customer site. It does not seem to work if there are only the AP and PR record. When I copied a version from my 2016 which I verified had AP, PR and SYS records then I was able to get it to work. The system did prompt for a forms update which I think is triggered from the file which seems to hold a ""date last updated"". From what I could see there was no harm in letting it check for the update. Nothing added was installed. I did get one funky message about a vendor number but I clicked through and everything seemed to work ok. This is a v2016 copy which worked on a 2017.2 site

    Just ran into this with a customer trying to print 941. This was their first form printing since I upgraded them to 2017 from 2016.

    I have a customer who had the issue, then it was fixed, now it's back. They have the SYS record and I have an old copy of the file without the SYS record and neither are working. Nothing else new on Sage's web site. Anyone else run into another fix?????

    Have you tried to update their keys? When I go into my system (yes, demo), I have to Edit > Activate in System Setup to get out of Demo mode.

    Yes, I updated their keys - it said it was successful and I validated against what is on Sage's web site. Well, wait - I UPDATED instead of Activated. I'll try Activate just for chutes and ladders.

    Just for chutes and ladders, did you Update/Activate from the server vs workstation? Shouldn't matter, but...!

    I updated/activated from the server. I've tried Run As Admin, running in MAS90 mode (it is Adv). Still says demo each damn time. YUP, I'm over this. Have to call Sage, I guess.

    Beth, the IRD and product update always seemed to be the culprit with my customers. Mary Jo's answer. Did you go that route?

    @RhondaMcNamara - this is a brand new client on 2017 who hasn't received any updates since the last time this worked, oh, about 2 weeks ago....

    So, I finally called Sage (and had to get a call back - that really pisses me off). They gave me a new file and the only thing different was the encrypted date field. But it works, yay.

    an FYI for you all. When the system is stuck in demo mode log into your Sage that is the same version. PU does not matter. Go into Efiling. Let it do its updates. One of the file updates is MAS_SYSTEM\SY_FormseFilingVersion.M4T. This is the file that will knock EFiling back to Demo mode. It resets itself quarterly. Once you update yours put it on your clients system and notice Demo mode is gone. I usually do one for each version during Year End to give out as needed.

    I just used this file - taken from my 2018 system - to power-up (turn off demo mode) on a 2017 user. I went through the Sage KB article and they appeared to have a valid file (including an SYS record). However I could not get it to activate. Renamed their existing file and copied in this one to the MAS_SYSTEM and the problem went away. As usual, backup before replacing.

    Be advised that being stuck in Demo Mode has nothing to do with client Sage 100 keys unless they have been booted from accessing PR files.  Files attached for all version 4.50 to 2018 below in this string... You will see them in a lower post. ;)
