    Client is thinking about a new web site to replace Ebiz. Looked at Website Pipeline but is concerned that the platform is closed to outside developers, and he wants an open source solution so he can design and customize himself. Any thoughts on direction to lead him? TIA

    I really like the Certipro ELink API to Magento. It is reasonably priced and it works great. The API isn't open source but there are many Magento developers.

    Email Bob or Ruth Richter - they offer the sync - ruthrichter@roi-consulting.com - I have customers who use either WSP/cim for full design and integration or when they want to connect an existing site to Sage they use ROI. I get very good feedback on each solution and if people don't have the $ to do it right I suggest that they re-key from their site until they know what volume they will do.

    We have been very happy with Website Pipeline. Bob Richtor with ROI Consulting has done a lot of integration with many Magento sites over the years so he is an option as well. he has done several integrations for us.

    Take a hard look at Clearnine with IN-Synch. One major difference between them and WSP is open-platform. Contact Korie Jacobs (623-277-5329x109, korie@clearnine.com) to discuss briefly regarding your client's thoughts before you go further. (Give her my regards.)

    BTW, Clearnine and ROI Consulting are essentially flip sides of the same business operation. If you are simply connecting then ROI. If you want to develop and launch an open-source commerce site, then you talk with Clearnine. Craig at Clearnine worked with Bob to develop IN-Synch.
