Client is on Win 7 64-bit. Have gotten Paperless as far as it brings up the PDF, but says it can't open because the file is in use by someone else. Only thing on KB is re permissions, but had the IT guy login to her machine as Admin and run and still got it. Seems like I'd found a KB entry with a different solution a couple of years ago (wasn't Win 7 64 bit specific), but can't find it now. Anyone know of a solution?

Is this a User Access Control issue?

have you tried the port fix - creating a new port for the printer named sage?

Wayne - thanks, I've missed that one. I have a growing collection of paperless KBs but didn't have that one. Also, does anyone know if it's cdintf400 in 4.4 and 500 in 4.5 or if they topped out at 300?

Oh, and @Eric - I tried the port fix, but the KB of @Wayne's says to do it again after WKSETUP and I think the client may have done another WKSETUP. So that's first on the list.

3 thoughts: 1. In MAS shortcut, in Properties in Shortcut tab click on Run as Administrator 2. To add to Eric's thought - while you're in properties of Sage PDF Converter: a) When you create the port named Sage, if it refuses to with some nag msg (happened last week) instead of Sage type it like this verbatim: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Sage (it just need to be a valid path the user can Write to where you append the port name at the end - yes the Port can be a path) b) Go to Security tab and click all the checkboxes. By default the Win 7 and TS 2008 user only has Print permissions 3. Is this MAS 200 (and which version)? Go in Journal and Reg Maint (or Report Maint or Form Maint) and look at the PDF directory. Make sure it's valid for the user.

Make sure you rt-click and choose ""Run as Administrator"" when you run WkSetup.exe

I just had this last week or so. I think we stopped the print spooler in services. This did delete the SagePDFConverter so ran workstation setup to install again. I think we also 'end process' on the 'spoolsv.exe' in task manager. I would do the services one first and see if that resolves it.

Didn't see the version, but some things were fixed as of 4.40.06 that affected Paperless.

I just had 2 of these last week and one of the problems was the UAC was on in the user profile - make sure that is off. This was preventing several files from not installing properly. Also had to import a key to the registry. Another thing to try is the pl_advancedoptions_ui and uninstall then reinstall the converter -- after this you may find that when you go to the Sage PDF Printer properties you may find the amyuni printer reference which then you should manually install the printer via the Add Printer task.

Beth, with all the suggestions, did you find one that worked and can you post the resolution for future use?

As of right now, it's still not working. The IT guy had a ""new thought"" - haven't heard how that's going yet.

See if the ""My Documents"" default location was changed. I had a similar issue and once it was moved back everything worked fine.
