Sage 100

Client is on 2015, and needs to order Qty 161,400.00 or an item in AR Invoice Data Entry... but the field only allows for 16,140.000. According to the File Layouts this field/mask is: 12.3, Mask:#,###,###.000- so why can't I figure out how to increase the number of characters in the Quantity field??

I can't get it to work in my v2016 either. I don't know what is limiting the mask to 5-whole numbers.

I can change it in the DFDM, but then I lose all Masking (and decimals), but it doesn't error out. Not realistic for the client.

I am guessing they don't have the SO module.

AR has a smaller capacity. Use SO invoicing... or multiple lines on the AR invoice.

@JeffSchwenk Nope, no sales order module. @KevinMoyes we gave them the alternative of either breaking it up onto two lines, or putting the quantity of 1 in with the correct extension amount, and building them a UDF for the ACTUAL quantity. Then we can take those and calculate the unit price on the form code. BUT SERIOUSLY, what a PIA!!

Wait... your number is under a million. That should be possible. SO does give an extra digit, but the limit should be higher. Perhaps try an import? (Maybe just the UI is programmed incorrectly).

I had this happen on 2015 as well. When I called Sage support the said the file layout was wrong.

@MichelleForsey Yep, especially since all they have to fix is the file layout file. (they told me they weren't going to fix the actual table/UI.)
