Client imports PR journal entry using VI and has 'allow out of balance entry' assigned to YES. Yesterday, the import was out by $2,000 and, although the journal clearly disclosed the OOB, they neglected to review the last page and updated anyway. Solved with a one sided journal entry. Could the VI job be changed to not allow OOB or could a script be written to force an acceptance to the OOB?

I believe you can shut it off on the VI job.

Client is running v2015. If memory serves me, when I've changed this setting in earlier versions, the import fails even if 'in balance' because it's seemed to be evaluating each line. I'll give it a try though.

I always write my imports to OOB = NO. Running it in v2016 without issue.

I am pretty sure this is a version issue, I had a client that I was unable to make work without setting OOB = YES, very dangerous indeed. I think they were on 4.4. You may have to have the perform logic fixed. It does work properly on newer versions.
