Client has noticed that firm planned WOs are being ignored by MRP. If SOs appear on the Parent item and FP WOs are created in response with different due dates (earlier than the SOs to make sure everything is done in time) . However, the components see no demand from the FP orders and only the SOs. What the heck? Any ideas? They are on 4.5.7

Do the WO's have to be released first?

They should replace SO demand and drive BC demand to components. It is a mechanism to establish a Master Schedule without messing with PDs. Releasing the WOs displays in Inventory....planned will not commit, just suggest via MRP order placement.
