Client has MRP (v4.05) and is trying to run year end which has been running all night. They only use it to run Crystal reports but they need to extend the periods available for forecasting, thus the year-end requirement. Thoughts?

I don't have a cure however in the past when I've had these types of issues the problem typically manifests in some type of corrupt data - often a Bill or Sales Order.

Have you checked the task manager and file date/time info to see if it is still actually doing anything?

I told them to end the task. I like Wayne's suggestion about a corrupt file. I guess rebuilding IM, SO, PO files can't hurt although they are a 24/7 shop so just getting them to stay out for this was a stretch. He called my cell at 10:38 last night - fortunately, I didn't hear it! They are on their last legs with MAS 90 anyway. They've been a long time, good client but can be demanding.

Someone called me last night about 11pm who found my website and was trying to get their MAS90 to print...

Do your support plans include calling at all hours?

This person wasn't even on a support plan. It was a random web visitor (I get about 6 to 8 a week). Virtually all of them are looking for a free quick question. It's very difficult to balance the appropriate response with a desire not to appear rude.

MRP should only be accessing the Projected Demands and maybe the MRP0 file.
