Client has 4.30. One workstation, Vista, is having trouble printing anything in the test 4.40 system. The user gets Error 200 SY_ReportCommon.pvc 596 when printing a report. There is a KB entry which says to uninstall and reinstall. We've done that and the error persists. I've never seen this. The Windows XP workstations work fine.

What kind of printer are they attempting to print to? Do they get the same message when previewing?

Do the client a favor and get rid of the Vista OS. What a POS!

FIXED. Well, apparently ""run as administrator"" on the workstation setup EXE works differently than logging onto the computer as administrator then running workstation setup EXE.

Congratulations!! WOW - good to know. I am guessing that's why I had to do that on a Windows 7 installation I did 2 weeks ago.

Just ran into this same issue. Unfortunately, running as administrator didn't fix this for me. I'm thinking registry problems, because when I ran WkSetup (as administrator), the setup came back with a ""Setup could not find Adobe Reader"" message. I figured I'd reinstall Reader, but the Adobe installer came back and said, ""Your Adobe Reader is already the latest and greatest"" (I'm obviously paraphrasing). Anybody else ever run into this? MAS 200 version 4.40 PU6. Windows XP.

Never mind. Found this: http://www.s-consult.com/2012/04/09/error-200-in-sy_reportcommon-pvc-line-611-in-4-5-and-line-596-in-4-4/ That was it. Hat tip to @WayneSchulz and @AlnoorCassim.
