client has 2 identical workstations, WIN7 32 bit with 3 GB RAM. They're on MAS200 4.5. Check printer is connected via ip address. On one WS the check prints out instantaneously and the other it prints out in 30 seconds. Any ideas?

Is one printer set ""print direct"" and other ""spool"" ? Could this be differing local configurations causing the issue?

IT people and I spent literally hours on this last week. both are set to print immediately. I guess I should test data transfer rate to the server from each WS

What are the local rights set to? What are the AV settings? Is it just checks or do other Crystal reports differ in speed? Same MAS user?

we tried setting the same user on diff WS. Did not try other Crystal Reports yet

Of course IT claims it prints fast on other applications. But they did not test printing a 6MB jpg.

Are the printers named the same? Also are there any non-existant printers on the slow computer?

I will check on the names. Why would it matter. I am emailing now for IT to remove all extra computers. Thanks

Update: Both WS are reading and writing @90Mbps. There are no extra printers on the slow WS.

As @JeffSchwenk asked, have you ruled out the anti-virus settings? If you test by turning off AV completely on the problem WS this possibility can be ruled out or confirmed pretty quickly.
