Classic view on 2020.2

    I realize I probably just need to delete their json files, but this is so weird - a 2020 upgrade and everyone is still displaying as the Classic menu. AND I even went and looked and yup, there was the AP Check Reversal Utility.  And the vendor screen is the new screen.

    Very very odd.

    Are you sure they just didn't use an old shortcut to a prior version?

    I did the installs - I deleted the old icon (did not uninstall) and installed the new one and copied it over myself.

    Disable the old system (something like renaming SY_User is an easy way to do that), and see if they truly are connecting to the new system.  Users create their own shortcuts in all kinds of weird locations.
    My own 2020 install forces me to the new desktop, no matter what I do, so I'd be surprised if there was some kind of loophole where Classic remains active.

    It goes through the workstation upgrade, and I double-checked the version once I was in.  I've also renamed the prior version folder, so they can't access it.

    I have a 2020.2 that I just upgraded from 2019. Same experience. I shut down 2019 with INSTLOCK.TXT. @Beth Bowers did you ever find an easy fix to this. I know there are KB articles on manually resolving the menu issue. Sage also has another KB where they seem to blamed using a UNC vs mapped drive on Standard though because Sage doesn't provide any info on what version(s) their KB relate to it's impossible to know for sure if that issue still exists or whether it even applies.​​

    @Wayne Schulz - IIRC, all we had to do was rename the C:\Users\<user>\Documents|Sage 100 folder​

    The weird thing is that you would think you would get an error - not classic views of everything.  Even the new screen changes show up in Classic.

    I did my first 2021 upgrade and the Classic View was showing too.  I was thinking Sage brought it back, but now thinking it's a problem like yours.  I'll have to jump back on their system and look.
    Dang, I was so hoping it was coming back for users.

    We had the same issue with an upgrade to Sage 100 Advanced 2021.  Several workstations had the Classic view and some had the Standard.  After uninstalling the prior version of Sage 100 Advanced 2017 workstation setups, we then renamed the folder during workstation install.  Even with this on some computers we had to run Sage 100 Advanced 2021\MAS90\Home\Launcher32.exe and select Standard.  It seems you CAN run in Classic view if you select Classic from Launcher32.exe.

    OOPS!! The Launcher32.exe file is in the Launcher folder NOT the Home folder.

    Just had this for the first time (v2021.2).  Renaming My Docs 'Sage 100' folder resolved it, although I didn't come across this thread until afterwards :)
