Clarification to the Sage CRM 100 edition retirement (note: nothing to do with Sage 100 ERP (MAS)): As a follow up to the Sage CRM 100 edition retirement communication sent on November 8, 2013, we would like to provide the following additional information. Sage CRM 200 is the brand that was given to the standard Sage CRM solution. It is not often referred to as Sage CRM 200, but this is the brand for the standard edition of Sage CRM. Sage CRM 100 has nothing to do with the Sage 100 ERP product from Sage. It was designed as an entry level and more affordable CRM solution. It is based upon the Sage CRM 200 edition, but has some limitations (see the original communication) that allow for a lower price per user. It does not provide integration to any of the Sage ERP products. The two editions of Sage CRM 100 and Sage CRM 200 were branded this way so that Sage could make these two different editions available at two different price points. Given the low volume of salesand the need to focus our R&D efforts and simplify our pricing, Sage has decided to retire the Sage CRM 100 edition. Again, this decision does not impact the Sage 100 ERP product. As stated in the original communication, all on-plan customers will receive a free upgrade to the standard Sage CRM 200 edition over the next month. Customers can continue to use the Sage CRM 100 edition. However, effective January 1, 2014, all sales, updates and support for Sage CRM 100 will be eliminated. Customers who chose to upgrade and use the Sage CRM 200 edition will pay for renewals and additional users at the Sage CRM 200 price ($995 each). Off-plan customers can continue to use the Sage 100 CRM edition. However, if they wish to receive support, add users, or move to the current version, they must upgrade to the Sage CRM 200 edition. Off-plan customers who reinstate their Sage Business Care plan (at the Sage CRM 100 edition price) by March 31, 2014, will receive a free upgrade to the Sage CRM 200 edition. Moving forward, these customers will purchase new users and renew their plan at the Sage CRM 200 edition price. We hope this information provides more clarification regarding the previous announcement. Should you have additional questions, please contact the appropriate representative listed in the attached communication.
