OK, as long as there isn't something I'm forgetting... I would just swear I had seen As before.  Perhaps this client has their bank code setup with As as the first character to denote something.

In bank code setup there is an a that denotes a special character for the MICR.  Could this be what you are thinking of?

Are you thinking of APP001, APP002 check numbers in Manual Check Entry that the training guide used to use?

Maybe I was.  Since there is no special A, it just must be my client using a particular bank code that they've setup with A in the Check Number.

I believe the next Check Number field in Bank Code Maintenance is numeric and won't accept an A character. 

Maybe I was.  Since there is no special A, it just must be my client using a particular bank code that they've setup with A in the Check Number.
