  • 1.  Changing SUI default state as of Second Quarter

Client is moving their corporate office to South Dakota (from Iowa).  SD will give them credit for their IA SUI wages.

How should this be reflected in Sage PR?  Should they import the 1st Qtr IA SUI wages into SD 1st quarter wage fields?

    Any thoughts?

    TIA

There is probably a "credit for taxes paid to other states" (or something like that) on the SD tax form.  Maybe you can just enter the amount in the field when the return is prepared and not do anything with Sage payroll.

I believe the credit is based on the SUI wages previously paid.  I want to prevent Sage from starting at dollar one for South Dakota.  Thus, my thought is to import IA sui wages into SD Sui wages.
