What are the best practices for changing an existing sales order with an existing PreAuth on credit card in Sage 100? (v2016)

I don't think you can change a PreAuth. It's not a Sage 100 limitation. Its the rules VISA/MC/Amex/Disc put in place. There really are no options. 

You could do nothing and hope there is sufficient credit available if the order amount has increased. If the order amount decreased, you should be fine.
