    Certification Renewals Does anyone else consider the entire process of paying for certs, assigning them and then actions required by the consultants to be way more complex than it needs to be? I would rather just receive a detailed invoice, review and approve it, and pay it. Combine this with the Partner Portal and you have a great set of mental torture tools.

    The entire process of dealing with Sage is a horror show. I have distinct memories of watching Laurie Schultz promise simplified pricing and easier-to-do-business-with. I've probably seen 30 Sage execs since give the exact same speech. The only reason they can give it with a straight face is barely any of them know the history of Sage or the products.

    I completely agree with both of you, @JohnHoyt and @WayneSchulz. The time needed in dealing with Sage these days is absurd.

    @JohnHoyt - The whole process is difficult to administer, just like everything with Sage. We have someone who spends 2 hours week, at least on the differnt sites and portals to get information to pass along to oour consultants becuase they don't have the time to spend looking for the information.

    Replacing re-certification testing with a brutally complicated renewal process? ...if only Sage admin were that smart to come up with such a devious partner evaluation on purpose.

    You beat me to the punch John. I have bitched to everyone in the office about all the time I have wasted in the last 2 days trying to administer this stupid certified consultant renewal process. The Sage U / Consulting Manager UI is the most unintuitive horrible experience I have ever seen. Multiple emails with Cari Lawton didn't help ease any of my frustration either.

    Cari must copy and paste from a list of approved responses. The one sent back in response to my complaint (which was surprisingly reasonable for me) was: ""We are always looking for ways to streamline the process, and I'll be happy to pass your feedback along."" I doubt it is being sent on to Nancy Harris - just Julie Elm, who never is in the spotlight, but probably is ultimately responsible for all of this.
