    We have a client that is moving away from Avatax at year end. As a result, the purchased the DSD Sales Tax Automation System (AR-1129) that allows for importing from the CCH ZipCode Database for tax schedules.

    However, we are trying to reach CCH regarding the download files and none of the contact information is working. Does anyone know of a client that is using them and contact information?

    I'm not sure they even produce that product anymore. I could be wrong, but memory from quite a few years ago is it was no longer available then. 

    Is AR-1129 available for current versions? Maybe DSD would have some insight if so.

    Yes, the DSD 1129 is available in the current version.

     

    DSD just sold it to us. I have reached out to them, but they do not have any contact info for CCH either.

    Update to everyone.

    After lots of calls and research, the CCH ZipCode Database is no longer available for purchase. The new database from Wolters Kluver is not compatible with DSD program. They did investigate to see if it would work but no just luck. They are going to remove the option from their website.

    I did look at VI jobs for it too, but also could not find a way to make it work with the new database.

    Does anyone have any other sales tax options besides Avatax/ Vertex or manual entry?

    With the increase from Avatax this year, the CEO says that they can pay someone to manual enter tax rate and file returns. I do not think that they release the amount of work that is involved. 

    Vertex has worked from other clients, but they also seem behind a few versions.
