Using the current 64-Bit Excel (MS 365 Version 2301 Build 16.0.16026.20002 auto updated as of Jan. 26, 2023) to refresh a connection to a table in a local Access database (either .mdb or .accdb) then exiting Excel with or without saving changes, leaves Excel running in the background as can be seen in Task Manager. Each invocation of Excel with this type of connection will cause additional hung Excel task and eat up memory. This does not happen with 32-Bit Excel and reverting to the 16.0.16026.20196 version of 64-Bit MS 365 will resolve the issue. I've reported this to Microsoft (ehh) and posted it on Experts Exchange (using the Alias WilbertWaterbury) here.
This happens with any MS Access table or query and is not specific to SOTAMAS90. I've tested several installations on client systems as well as my own workstations and had other users on the EE confirm this issue is recent and universal.
