  • 1.  "Cannot communicate with Sage Exchange Desktop 2.0 . . ." when making a company copy

    We have a client on v2018 and APS for cc processing since June 2019.  They are in the GoToMyERP environment. SED was uninstalled in 2019 and I have been periodically making company copies of their data (from within Sage) ever since - until a couple weeks ago.  I have not installed any product updates or any other programs.  I just tried to copy their data and got the message in the subject line.  Any ideas besides installing SED again?  Again, it has worked for 1.5 years until now.

    For test company refreshes, I just ignore the error.  Make sure CC options are disabled in the target company code.
    Re-installing SED shouldn't hurt anything though.

    @Kevin Moyes - GREAT point regarding disabling the CC options in the target company!!!  Client was not a happy camper when their CC postings were screwed up when testing unrelated scenarios in the test company!!!!​

    For some reason, perhaps because either (or both) IIG CC processing and APS are installed, I can't disable the CC option in Company Maintenance.  We're going to reinstall SED.  Thanks for the responses, all.
