Can imports from VI into Sales Order Invoice Data Entry respect if an item does not have quantity available and automatically backorder? I tried setting the role security to not allow to exceed quantity on hand, but that didn't change anything. I want to make sure standard Sage can't make this simple before I turn to scripting something.

Is ""Check for Available Qty"" selected in SO Options? That setting, plus ""Allow to Backorder all items"" in Role Maint., plus the one you already set is the way I did it in SO Sales Order import.

Thanks @MarkKotyla! I adjusted the settings and then also realized I should not import the quantity shipped, and it is working as it should! Yay for not having to script it!
