Can anyone suggest materials, web links, etc that would help me learn how to write scripts for Sage 100? I'd like to start simply like validating UDFs or placing Inventory data on BOM screens. Any guidance will be appreciated.

I'd suggest starting with the Sage U Business Objects class. Also familiarity with VB Scripts are a must.

Two classic Sage Summit sessions that have been referenced by a few people before. https://www.dropbox.com/s/1sgxueytoygbp5r/P-ERP22_MALMGREN.pdf https://www.dropbox.com/s/m19qsbcuexrpxq8/P-ERP23_MALMGREN.pdf

I learned a bunch of things from community.sagemas.com. All/most of the above referenced sage material is available there.

Thanks one and all for the ideas. I'll share the first one if that's OK. Still learning protocol and don't want too misstep.

School of Hard Knocks has an excellent teaching staff. I learned enough there to know I don't have to right stuff to be good. Dan Burleson, Alnoor Cassim, Myron and Aaron Clark (the good twin) do awesome stuff.

Thank you all for these suggestions. I bought the book and decided Jeff may be right. I'm going to sub this work out. I enjoy a challenge but also know my limitations. At least now I can better explain what the client needs.

Problem is that you appear to be related. Not sure if that is anything to write home about........
