Can anybody recommend an OCR solution for AP?

Can you elaborate?

Sorry, I'll try, though it's pretty nebulous at the moment. They are looking to automate some of the AP Invoice Data Entry. They still receive the majority of their invoices through the mail so they were wondering if they could scan them in and use OCR to create the AP invoices.

Working on a project for ourselves and a client to use Bill.com to automate AP and working will be working with @JimWoodhead at DSD to integrate with Sage 100.

I think you'll find price to be a consideration. I know Altec has document management that also offers workflow (approvals, etc). Don't know if they OCR the invoice directly for data entry into Sage or how that would quite work since each invoice is laid out differently.

I never heard of Bill.com, so thanks for that, Ron! I agree, Wayne. I imagine that doc-link can get pretty close but right into Invoice Data Entry feels like a pipe-dream.

For Bill.com The AP Invoice side works ok but the Payment side is almost impossible to import. . A lot of manually entries.
