Customer tracks most inventory items in grams but sells in gallons. They have the number of grams/per gallon as the Sales U/M conversion factor. When doing a physical count, they'd like to be able to enter the number of gallons and have the grams calculated with the Sales U/M conversion factor.

My question is, if I add a gallon UDF in the physical count entry panel, could we use a script or somehow calculate what the actual grams are based on the sales u/m conversion factor to populate the actual quantity counted? TIA!

I would suggest recording the counts in a spreadsheet, do the calcs there, and import from that with VI.

Except this is for CertiPros Automated Cycle Count enhancement which loads items to be counted directly into Physical Count Entry.

If the alternate UoM counts could be set into a UDF (instead of the normal field) you might be able to do something (column post validate on the UDF).  Otherwise, I don't know how a script could know if the entered number was Standard or Sales UoM.

That's what my thought was - add a GAL UDF - and the sales u/m conversion factor UDF - into Phys. Ct. entry then populate the actual quantity counted based on the two UDF's.
