Buyer Beware: Here's a cautionary tale from someone who ""bought"" what was advertised as a list of users of ERP software. You've probably all received these emails advertising thousands of names, emails, etc. Via the Sage LinkedIn Group: I regret to say that I am a victim of this scam. After processing my credit card payment, he sent me a file consisting of random names and addresses (nopt necessarily business names) which are obviously useless. I complained unsuccessfully to my credit card merchant bank. He claimed he had sent the list and (because the bank couldn't understand the distinction) he won the argument. Buyer beware!

I have a guy who is selling me a list of 25,000 Sage CRM customers in North America. This is about 2.5 times what Sage claims as the worldwide customer count for Sage CRM. I called out bullshit to him and he insists that it's legit and sent me the names of two ""satisfied"" list purchasers to call. What a joke.
