Business Alerts - does anyone know if Business Alerts is compatible with Sage 2015? Have a client that is on 4.5 and wants to upgrade and wondering if we have to move them to Knowledge Sync or not.

I can't think of a reason why it would not be. KnowledgeSync is not application or version specific. If you are using pre-packaged alerts, you should confirm they are tailored for your specific version of Sage 100 but typically this is a minor process.

I'm sorry @BernieLehman I didn't read closely enough. There used to be a free, introductory version of KnowledgeSynce included with each sale of MAS 90. I think it was called Business Alerts but I'm not certain. If this is what you are referring to, that version has been discontinued by Sage. The full version is a paid-for solution listed on the current price sheet as Alerts and Workflow. What version does you customer have deployed? The full version of KnowledgeSync or the old free edition?

If BA is being used in v4.5, I don't see a reason why it wouldn't work in v2015.

Both BA & KS can work with any ODBC - there is nothing Sage specific about either of them beyond what samples you get.

I have 2 clients with 2015 and using BA. You might need to get the latest if you need to send emails with SSL authentication. The older versions of BA does not allow you to enter the SMTP authentication credentials on some of these newer mail servers. The data tables and other features work perfectly.
