Where to begin, but more importantly, where does it end?????
From the EX director's recap report.
Casino Night highly rated based on verbal commentsI would like to add that the EX director's report overlooked commenting the 3rd annual Karaoke night. It was also well received based on the number of people who took to the stage, the number who remained in the audience and the number of people singing the final song of the evening. Those that left early truly passed up a good time.
Sponsorship Revenue to Date $86,385.00 plus Affiliate Renewal Fees $42,700 combined total $129,085 (As Listed on the Affiliate Invoice Tracking on the 90 Minds Google Share) Dimension funding has reached out to make payment. The invoice they were sent by the prior bookkeeper had broken link on APS CC payment option. From an email from the EX director on 2/25 -
Jennifer from Dimension funding is trying to pay their invoice. Clinking the APS link on the invoice responds "invoice expired" had the same results when I tested the link too. Please note that at the time, it was NOT a broken link but rather an EXPIRED link! Dimension funding was originally invoiced in early December but they decided in early January that they only wanted to be a vendor affiliate, NOT a MOTM sponsor. Credit was
promptly issued and Dimension was rebilled in
EARLY January. On or about 2/25, they finally got around to paying it (
AFTER I reminded the EX Director that it was still outstanding PER Affiliate Invoice Tracking (spreadsheet) on the 90 Minds Google Share at the last board meeting.
Yes, believe it or not, the APS invoice payment links DO EXPIRE! They do
not break, but if you don't pay with in a reasonable time period (say 30 days), they will not work!
Bank of America has no record of new signature cards as of 3/5/19 and reports that signature card submissions are processed in 24 hours of receipt, per bank policy, regardless of branch. This was reported during an in-person meeting at B of A Long Beach with Exec. Dir, Moira Goggin. Completed and notarized signature cards were sent form Long Beach 2/5/19 to Jeff Schwenk 600 Oak Ave, Waynesboro VA and confirmed delivered 2/7/19 11:21 am. FedEx tracking ID: 785336281864.To paraphrase the late Gerald Ford, "Our nightmare over the signature cards is over"!First, I would like to know the name of the B of A employee whom the EX Director, Moira Goggin spoke with during the in-person meeting. Since the Ex Director was NOT on record as an authorized check signer, the B of A employee breached B of A security protocol by divulging any information about the status of the signature cards. Once I know the employee's name, I plan to file a complaint with the B of A compliance department about this breach.
Second, by the time you are reading this, both Jerry and the EX Director should be authorized signers of the account. This information was obtained on 3/6 from Andrew who took my phone call at the Delaware call center. This information was provided ONLY after I answered several questions in order for Andrew to ascertain that I was an authorized signer. He said that the signature cards WERE processed on 3/5 and that the final update would occur in the early AM of 3/7. As of this posting, the signature update has not been verified.
And finally, I am perplexed as to the purpose of the Ex Director's blurb above. It is but a slice of the entire story.
As they say hindsight is 20/20. Had I known then what I know now, I would certainly have done things differently.
In late December, I am out of town for the Christmas holiday. During this break, I stopped at a local South Carolina B of A branch for information on adding signatures. After waiting patiently for nearly 30 minutes, they asked me to make an appointment for the next day. I say No Thanks. I spend the rest of the holiday with my family and return to 600 Oak Ave, Waynesboro VA prior to the new year.
The first week of January, I am busy with my day job assisting clients with W-2 processing. In order to get the signature cards moving, I contact the 800 B of A number to request the information via mail. The requested paperwork is dated 1/11/19. The requested paperwork is received at 600 Oak Ave, Waynesboro VA on 1/21 and mailed to Jerry (snail mail, no tracking number) on the 22nd. Since there was no tracking number, I do not know what date it was received but apparently it arrived prior to his departure to the Acumatica conference on or about 1/26. In that time, he was able to get the necessary forms notarized and handed off the forms to the EX Director as she was at the same conference.
The EX Director FINALLY returns it via 2nd day shipment on 2/5 and it was received at 600 Oak Ave, Waynesboro VA on the 7th. WHY it took so long to return and WHY it wasn't sent next day air remains a mystery. But que sera sera!
On the 8th I drive it to the local B of A (90 minute round trip in total) where it was deemed incomplete. I immediately sent an e-mail to Jim requesting that he complete the necessary missing paperwork.
Jim returns the necessary documentation and it is received at 600 Oak Ave, Waynesboro VA on 2/15, too late to take it to the local branch. The following Monday, the banks are closed for President's day. I drive to the bank on Tuesday (19th) when it is deemed complete. THEY send it via their bank courier to the back office facility for processing. I receive confirmation from the branch officer that it was received on the 20th. I call him on Friday the 22nd for an update. He will not tell me (even though he knows it is me) stating that he cannot provide the information via phone. Being a retired Army Colonel, he is a stickler for the rules. Apparently, not everyone at the B of A is.
I call again on Monday and again, he will not divulge the status. He recommends that I reach out to the bank via the 800. I do that on 27th. I am told that the paperwork is not in the system yet and that it can take up to 10 days to process. This is the first time I am made aware of this wait time.
During MOTM, NO ONE asks me about the signature card status!!
Yesterday, I call again when I am told that everything should be active tonight after midnight.
PTL
Truthfully yours!

@Jeff Schwenk Looking at the agenda, 3/5 is a typo, especially since it was posted after EOB on 3/5. The meeting is 3/7.The vote on Saturday is sufficient for the officer appointments since we voted pending the member vote. The other stuff, we can deal with at the meeting.

Did this meeting get moved up to an earlier date a la last week's 8AM breakfast meeting? The agenda indicates March 5th, not the 7th that I have on my Outlook calendar. Very hard to arrange my calendar (especially on vacation) when there seems to be a question as to when the actual meeting is!!!
I think it is a little premature to put me down as absent unless we had the meeting today.
I am also not the Robert's Rules of orders expert but don't we have to vote on the officers in an official meeting AFTER the board convenes for the first meeting? Robert??? If it is the process, shouldn't the first thing on the agenda be election? If not, I stand corrected.
Seems like you are dedicating a lot of time to the missing check signature paperwork. Two days after I dropped it off at the local branch, the account manager there verified that the paperwork was received at their back office facility. I have called several times to verify processing and the new signatures have not happened. The last time I called, I was told that it could take up to ten days for the signatures to change. I will call AGAIN tomorrow to get an update and to find out what happens if they are not processed yet.
Aloha!

I'm not completely sure how the library really needs to be organized and it probably doesn't matter much to us as long as all of the agenda, reports, minutes, etc., are in the same thread.
