  • 1.  Bill of Material Integration with Production Management

    Posted 12-12-2024 13:05

We have a client that has been running with Bill Of Material and processing production through Production Entry.

They are converting to Production Management and would like to use the Bills, 2000+, that have previously been created.

We have created a VI job to create the Work Ticket Templates. The import fails with the following message:

The Step Number is missing from several component lines. Do you want to use the default step number, 000000, for the missing step numbers?

When the template is added to through Bill of Material Entry the prompt is the same but you can answer yes and it is all good.

Any thoughts or suggestions as to how to get around this issue.

    TIA

In the past we typically imported the step numbers into the BM_BillDetail table before importing into Production Management.

    Thanks David.

I was trying to avoid exporting all the bills and then reimporting them with the step 000000.
