  • 1.  BICORE issue RESOLUTION

    This is based on a Sage City posting AND I just had a client try it and can confirm - if your client starts getting a BICORE error when attempting to Save from RUN (not DESIGN), you need to restore to a prior version of Excel.  One client who is bitching about how difficult that would be shows an Excel date of 7/9, which about jibes with when this started happening.

    If your client's IT is like my second client, then the work-around is to make your changes in DESIGN, save, then RUN.

    When you say Save from Run, do you mean saving outside of Report Manager?  I have a client having this issue when clicking the Save Template from within Report Manager, and I was about to call Sage.  Not sure exactly when the issue began occurring.

    When you say prior version of Excel, you're talking about a "build" update rather than an entire Excel version, correct?

    All of this happened while running SI from within Sage.  When you work on a report, you can choose Design or Run - you can save if you chose Design, but can't save if you chose Run.

    And yes, I mean a build.  One client had an update dated 7/9, I believe, and the other one first had it happen on 7/2, so definitely a release in that time frame.
