Beware that in Sage 100 v2016PU2. (5.30.2). The extra user license that was for the SAGECRM server is no longer working as an Sage 100 user. In the past a customer would get an extra user license if they weren't using the SAGECRM server. That loophole is closed. Bummer #userlicenses

I encountered the same thing recently and Sage support clarified. Client purchased 5 users. With 5 active users in Sage 100 windows (not just the desktop), *Info shows 7 users licensed, 0 available. This is because Sage reserves 2 additional connections: - One for the Administrator (in case everyone gets locked out of the system) - The second for external connections (i.e., CRM integration). Those 2 additional connections only serve those purposes. In other words, they are not 'usable' to the extent that 7 users can be logged into Sage 100 using the program.

That may be true now - as per Jim's experience - but it wasn't true prior to PU2. I had a customer purchase an additional user and we questioned Sage on the availability of the Sage CRM extra license. We were indeed able to use it as a Sage user but I do not think it was ever guaranteed. I can probably dig up the Sage back and forth. This was probably 6-8 months ago. My main issue is that you can ask 5 people at Sage about this type fo thing and get 5 different answers and they will all swear that theirs is the correct one and it's never ever been done any differently...

And I thought that ""administrator"" one was for the Sage Integration engine.
