Lately, the download will extract itself into a folder which does not need to be mounted. I usually copy the downloaded file AND the extracted folder to a USB drive. Usually works for me (though I have had some corrupted files that necessitate downloading a second time.). I can usually copy the file/folder to a network location, then move it to the virtual server location. If you do extract it on the server, be sure to pick a location that is fairly ""shallow"" in the folder structure. I have had issues when the destination folder is deeply buried.
Once you have a reliable copy on the thumb drive, take it with you. If you aren't planning to be on site, do a remote connection and copy from your office though I do like Wayne's method.
