  • 1.  Best Practice for PR 2.x - PR Status Check Warnings

    Best Practice suggestions for PR 2.x Status Check Warnings - A nice feature but there is extra work required.  Reason for the warnings is missing GL accounts for fields (new?) that client does not use (e.g. missing Work Comp GL account) .  In prior versions, this was not an issue.  I even used it (empty account fields) to prevent accidental use of EIC. 

    Now with warning, something should be done about the missing data, otherwise actual issues could be overlooked.

    So what do others recommend?
    1)  Keep ignoring the warning and keep the fields blank
    2) Use real account numbers and run the risk that user does something incorrectly that posts bad information to the GL
    3) Create a FAKE gl account (e.g. 9999-99 - INACTIVE GL ACCOUNT), code the various fields with it, then set the account to inactive in the GL
    4) Something else?

    I like option 3, but I leave the fields blank, reviewing every screen each time we need to run the Status Check - yes, this takes some time when there are lots of departments.
