Besides Sage Intelligence...what other solution is there that could provide COMBINED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS from multiple companies? Customer is not too happy with SI performance.......they are in Sage 100 Standard v2014...but willing to upgrade if necessary....

There is FYI (formerly Renovo FYI), heard it's a bit spendy though. Not sure if F9 is any better than SI. Are they unhappy with length of time to run reports? Are they running at a local station? Can they run on a Terminal Server or at the Server itself (assuming they would install Excel on the Server)?

That's not a lot of data. I couldn't tell ya on the better performance in 2017/2018, haven't had anyone indicate that. It is embedded now in Sage Menu. If they are on Sage 2014, they should upgrade anyway and at least try SI and then make a determination.

Factors affecting SI performance: Excel version , 64-bit is faster Memory (and what is available when the report runs) Number of calcs in reports Number of years of history on financials (modify the Union Reports to limit history) Number of companies You can run the reports from the Windows Task Scheduler on the server and have them ""refreshed"" once/twice or more often each day to a shared folder. Can you bring their data folders over to your v2018 set up and run their SI on your machine for a proof of concept test??? If they are on v2014, they will also have older WS's and maybe a slower network.

DSD also has two enhancements for creating combined reports. GLCN and LMCC both do consolidations so that you can run any reports in Sage 100 combined for all companies.

Can AV affect SBI speed as it does Crystal Reports speed? I agree that's not alot of data for SBI. But when I sold an an *older* version of SBI to one client with a ton of depts and GL accounts, I had a report that took 8 hours to run. :-D

Geez, I can't believe no one has mentioned the old GL Custom Reports. :-(

We use Vivid Report CPM (http://www.vividreports.com/cpm-solution/), which is the most stable Excel add-in I've ever used. There's an initial terminology learning curve (easier to learn than SI for me) but then it absolutely flies. It also has some cool drill-down and analysis capabilities that you can do from within Excel.

They have a slew of license types (they also have Budgeting and Operational reporting), but for financial statements, perpetual, it basically starts at $4200 (which includes the first builder) and then $1200/builder, $600/analyzer and $400 per viewer.

IMHO 3 companies with around 200 accounts each should not tax SI. How long is ""too long""? How much time does it take to generate a report?

@MoiraGoggin I don't think there's any limit to the number of connections. The way it works is that there's a SQL Server database (the engine) that sucks in the data from the ERP and then the Excel add-in pulls from SQL, so now that I think about it, you could pull data from multiple companies from multiple ERP systems.
