Barcode fonts on MAS90 forms. A client just got a new workstation (64 bit Win 7) and now the Picking Sheet barcode fonts aren't working on it. They print with a Retangle on the end of it each barcode field. I saw a posting on the community about the size of the font being important. Has anyone come across this before. What is wierd is that the form and font work fine on the other workstations. (XP Pro)

Yes to both. The barcodes are printing but they have an rectangle on the end of each of barcodes. ( only on the new 64 bit compurters) On Monday I am going to play with the font size. They are gone for the weekend.

We usually get our barcode font from Adobe.

If the bar code is printing from other workstations, then the form is correctly sized. My money is on the dll issue.

@JimWoodhead do you have a sample of what it looks like? Sounds like you have the barcodes showing for the characters in the barcode #2 below but not something past that #3-5. When you created the barcode formula how did you do it? You might be using the wrong formula that isn't calculating the information correctly to work with the azalea barcode font. A Code 128 bar code has the following physical structure: 1) Start code, which is the code 103, 104, or 105 from the encoding table below (either 11010000100 (Start-A), 11010010000 (Start-B), or 11010011100 (Start-C). 2) Each of the data bytes of the message. 3) The checksum byte. 4) Stop character of 11000111010. 5) Termination bar of 11.

Still no joy. I emailed off to Azalea tech support to see what they say. Thanks Beth for the info.

@JeffSchwenk can you set me the C128tools setup you used. I want to rule out the fonts that it installed

go look at one of the BC forms in the reports directory and confirm you have the correct function and font sizes etc.

The issue is that the forms work on all the machine EXCEPT for the new WIN 7 64 bit machines.

Jim - Did you get a resolution to this? I am about to do the 4.4 forms for another consultant (following a 4.05 upgrade).

Barcode installation for 64 bit machines #azalea #64bit #barcode 1) Install C128Tools_Setup.exe from the ..\MAS90\WkSetup\Azalea folder on the server onto the workstation 2) Install 64-bit UFL download link: http://azalea.com/crystal-reports/64bitUFL.zip --> c:\windows\system32 and C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\Common\3.5\Bin folder. Note: If you have a problem printing the fonts, make sure you use one of the available 64bit barcode fonts. If you have WIN 7 32 bit you don't need to do anything special for normal c128 tools.

Should this info and files be part of the 4.50 as 64-bit issues?
