If you can use the Code 128, Sage includes the formula directly in the work table, so that one you just need to pull over and assign one of your 128 fonts (in this case I usually have to try a lot of them and usually settle for the ""Code 128 wide"" font). Code 39 is more restrictive than 128--I think it's capital letters, numbers and about a dozen special characters only.
I haven't used code 39 specifically with Scanco, but I hope this helps.
