Bar Code - have a client just gearing up with Scanforce. Labels printed straight from label printer can be read. Labels printed from Crystal via Sage can not. Am using the barcode formula and any and all of the Azalea fonts. Also tried a 3 of 9 and no go there, too. I've printed valid bar codes from Crystal before - WTH???????

I'm jumping into a situation with the same problem this afternoon.

On the 3 of 9 you need to use a ""*"" before and after the value.

@JimWoodhead - yep, did that. It acts like it doesn't have the starting and trailing characters, but I printed it out in Arial and they were there. In both formats.

There is something about the size - @BarbRippberger ??

We had an issue where it would not scan when printed from Crystal via Sage also. We had to set the font size to 30. I'd have to look to see exactly which font we selected again, but 30 was not a default size, I had to key it in.

I believe size does matter here. Go big or go home...... And make sure the width of the field is generously sized also.. I have never had to modify the Crystal BC formulae, just the field sizes.

The formula for Code 39 is: ""*"" & {file.field} & ""*"" Ex: ""*"" & {SO_PickingSheetWrk.QuantityShipped} & ""*"" After you put the formula on the form, then make it one of your preferred Code39 fonts--and make it wide, like Jeff and the others suggest. If you print this in ""English"" will read *3* If you can use the Code 128, Sage includes the formula directly in the work table, so that one you just need to pull over and assign one of your 128 fonts (in this case I usually have to try a lot of them and usually settle for the ""Code 128 wide"" font). Code 39 is more restrictive than 128--I think it's capital letters, numbers and about a dozen special characters only. I haven't used code 39 specifically with Scanco, but I hope this helps.

That's what I tried for the 3 of 9. I set the size to 42 with a 128 and still no go. Have emailed Scanforce.
