Bank Reconciliation Security. Client asked today if they could prevent a user from accessing certain bank codes in Bank Reconciliation, ie Allow access to Bank Code A, but disallow access to Bank Code B. Any thoughts on this one? --AJC

There used to be an enhancement for this (BR-1003 I think). Depending on the version, maybe one of the scripting gurus can offer advice on using UDT to validate user access.

    I don't see this listed with a price - http://dsdinc.com/enh/by-module/bank-reconciliation/es-br-1003.html

Saw that, but the site is not always accurate. I usually call Sedal for current info.

You can use scripting to disallow access to customers, you could do the same with bank codes.

@DawnAnastasi -- I wondered about that, too. When I tried to script an event in bank rec, nothing fired. External Access is allowed. To which object would you tie the script? Maybe I'm missing something in the setup.

Duh. Wrong table. Should have been GL_BankCodeMaster. Now that I've got that running, the script is firing, and I can prevent access. Thanks, Dawn!
