Bakery/distributor now uses Global Bake (New Zealand company). Does manufacturing of bakery products and is distributor of other food products. Says current product doesn't do web ordering or EDI. Has looked at Just Food in the past but $50,000 price tag seemed too high. Is now considering Sage 100. Any thoughts about what product might be right for this type of company or anyone using either Global Bake or Just Food? TIA

xTuple has a number of food industry references, although if that $50k is including the integrated web store they will likely be in the same place price-wise.

Thanks Phil. Good to know about xTuple. It told him $50,000 wasn't high. It's not an industry I've done a lot in.

LOL - web ordering price tag of $50k too high.

@RonGouveia We have a bakery/distributor that uses Sage 100. We are using inventory, purchase order and bill of materials for production. No WIP tracking, which I'm not sure makes sense anyway. We can discuss off-line, if you would like.

Another possibility is Batchmaster, which integrates with both Sage 100 and Sage 300. Be aware that Batchmaster uses its own inventory function, so only financials are required for Sage 100 or Sage 300. We are a Batchmaster reseller now (through an acquisition).

We also have bread maker using Sage 100 distribution and core. Most orders imported from handheld devices (delivery trucks stocking shelves) using old old old HighJump solution. No BM or WO though they could use BM. $50k budget def not high.

@RonGouveia sorry the part I'm questioning is ERP _+ EDI + web integration for $50k. That seems low to me but maybe they can correctly specify the pieces and implement themselves

Thanks all. Very very helpful input. At least I know Sage 100 is a possible solution. Yes @WayneSchulz I agree ERP plus web ordering plus EDI for $50,000 is going to be an issue.
