Back Order Fill Reports - Looking for Ideas. Client was on an AS400 for 25. Had a very customized back order fill system. I am looking for ideas on how others fulfill backorders in MAS. The current backorder fill standard report lists items than orders that can be filled. I would like something that lists orders than items. It doesn't help the cause if two BO items are received if the order still has unfulfilled lines.

I have one of those customers. But also you could just modify the standard reports to show you the entire order instead of just the BO lines.

@jeffschwenk. Email Jon Reiter and he can let you know the development time to get it to v4.5. Usually if we have an new order it can get expedited .

Looks like we are trying something via Access. Will keep you posted if I need to pull the trigger on the enhancement.

Looking for new ideas for this old question.  Client wants more control over the back-order fill report.  Currently it is a one-shot report with minimal (no?) user control over it.  Another client wants the ability to export report data into Excel but all they have to work with is a PDF.

1. Load and read the report's work table directly into Excel with some VBA and a query (where you can add other tables or manipulate as needed).
2. Check out my Pick database that selects and prints orders and back orders by optimizing the most fill-able of them from the quantity on hand product (it's Access based and doesn't allocate the product to more than one order).
