Average Cost problem in MAS 4.4
Ran all the Utilities and ""repaired"" over half of the inventory items. As it turns out, when examining the numbers, the correct Average Cost was being used in calculations, MAS was just displaying the wrong amounts. Is that true in your experience? Does anyone know what all was affected by this problem - GL,etc.? Are there any adjustments to be made?
Secondly, we have a number of Standard Cost items that have enormous Average Costs. Even though the Average Cost is actually ignored, a Standard cost item of $0.66 appears as $216,416.00 in the Average Cost field. So we thought we would be smart and change the Standard Cost to Average Cost and then run the Utilities again. The thinking was that we would revaluate back to Standard Cost once the Average Cost field was fixed. We got a $3 billion variance. Maybe not the thing to do. Has anyone else tried this?
