Customer is currently on 2016 Adv with Avalara. They claim their Ship To Addresses have to be 2 characters (US) for Avatax calculations and that when they create a new Ship To Address, it defaults to 3 characters and when they address validate it changes USA to US. She also indicates that when it doesn't get changed, that they get Tax Errors on the invoices/sales journal.
In 2019, It's not changing the USA to US upon address validation. I can create the US country code and if I enter it after entering the zip code, it will hold and address validation leaves it at US, but she is concerned now about the tax calculation errors. We don't update invoices in a test environment due to Avatax so no good way to test this.
Has anyone heard of this issue or have any experience with it? Is Address Validation supposed to convert to the Alternative Country Code?
Thanks
