  • 1.  Avatax 2019: Providex COM object not registered

    Waiting for a callback from Avalara support (20 callers ahead of me!)

    Customer is adding Avatax on 2019.1. 

    "The Providex COM object is not registered on this workstation...." 

    Launch pvxcom.exe and retry, still errors out. 

    regcom.bat doesn't help either. 

    Has anyone installed the 2019 connector successfully?

    Is UAC turned off and are you logged in as administrator when you run the bat file?  It seems like a dll may not have registered.

    Yes, UAC off. 

    Not logged in as Administrator, but with account as member of Administrators, Running both regcom.bat and the install as different user under the Administrator.

    My experience of leaving a call back number gets you a quicker response that staying in the queue.
    Have had that problem.  Manually register the DLL as Administrator usually solves the problem.
