Avalara Commission Credits - Has anyone gotten their credits since Atlas kicked in? Mine stopped in February.

February was my last one.

Sent a note to Russ Graff @ Avalara. He is sending it up the pole.....................

From Russ Jeff, I just learned that all inquiries should go to an email address of: partnercommissions@avalara.com. I will still try to find out who is ""behind the curtain"" in case I need to rattle a cage or two. Sorry for the frustration, but I am not surprised that no one at Sage would know this. They rely on our calculations and processes.

Sage told me the email was partner@eatshit.com --- my email didn't bounce so I thought it probably went through...

Sent another request, managed to get some response. Hi Jeff, Following up on our conversation today. I was made aware of this issue a few weeks ago and I found out what was missing in order to have the credits issued on your account. I will be following up internally and find out the status and hopefully we can get those credits on your account posted as soon as possible. I am sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.

I spent a year trying to reconcile what we were owed by Avalara. Never really got to the end, and much they pushed off on Sage, saying some deals went thru Sage, even though We processed thru Avalara. Sometimes Avalara never had records if they had even been paid by Sage. The record keeping and accounting was a disaster.

Wow, and all I am chasing is $60.......................... Just SF'g amazing!!!!!!

One has to wonder as Sage's Connected Service dream evolves how many VARS are going to stick around to bicker about commissions.

For me, it isn't about the money. I am happy to take it if they are offering it. However, it appears that someone has an issue in tracking commissions. Maybe it is Sage, Maybe it is Avalara. Don't know, don't really care. What really irritates/concerns me is that people at Sage & Avalara don't seem to know and they don't seem to care. I would really be frustrated (as I am sure Mike was) when I have numerous client's using the service, expecting me to be the first responder and I am not getting my due. Makes me really want to sell their product.

From Avalara now.... Sorry for any delay, but I can't find any payments made by Avalara to Bottomline Software in Feb. Is there another business name that we paid you under in Feb? Best Regards Partner Commissions Too bad they aren't allow to reveal their name...........

Oh yeah, one other thing. Different groups at avalara absolutely do not speak with each other and will be very quick to throw each under the bus. They are all about sales and closing deals but do not have the infrastructure and systems to back it up - probably grew to fast. I had hopes that the addition of Rob Johnson and pascal van dooren would help turn these folks into a more professional organization, but sounds like it is still a work in process.

I have problems even knowing if I've been paid for Sage Payments since I don't have access to the volume of transactions the customer did. It's a little awkward to ask the customer to audit their transaction volume so that we in turn can go arge with Sage about commissions. However there are two things that I believe: a. Commission is just an invitation to constantly bicker about who is owed what. It never seems to sync. b. Sage should proactively be providing statements of this activity --- though I'm doubtful they have the capability to even get an accurate accounting of what's owed them. How does Sage hang a large part of their revenue growth on connected services if partners aren't comfortable that they are going to be compensated?

Back when people used to buy tons of pre-printed forms I had a relationship with a local Safeguard reseller. (again, difference between working with the equivalent of a var and a big company) . Like clockwork, commission checks would arrive, with complete backup of all details. When he would go to one of my clients and sell more types of forms, bingo, commissions showed up. When I sold my company,since the original arrangement was personal, I was still getting commissions. I still get a few bucks each year, but of course most companies have changed to laser forms. These guys were far more 'connected' in 1995 than Sage is today.

From Avalara partner commission department - no name given,...... I can't speak to why Sage has stopped payment, but I have added Heid at Sage who is covering for my contact at Sage while she is out. Heidi, I see that on the March Avalara statement we indicated Glaco and Bottomline. Can you provide Jeff with a status of the payment related to that? If you have any questions, please call me. Thank you! I CAN'T believe this would be an ATLAS issue............
