  • 1.  Auto-Complete on v2019 migration

    There is a known defect when migrating from a previous version. Auto-Complete records for (GL) Account and Employee are removed during the migration process. See Sage Knowledge Base ID 96923.

    Until Sage Engineering resolves this, I was able to restore these records by reinstalling v2019 after the data conversion process. Depending upon the complexity of the v2019 installation and the length of time to reinstall, you might want to wait for the fix or have the customer live without it for now.

    This is in user set up???  Is the work around to perform user maintenance and click on these fields or is the snafu deeper than that?  I do not believe I experienced this issue when I converted my company files a couple weeks back.  Are the any other factors involved for this outcome to happen?

    Wasn't this supposed to be a new feature with 2019 - auto-complete for GL?  You are saying it existed previously and you lost the function after upgrading?

    From the KB article

    Auto-Complete new record types of Account and Employee in 2019 are removed after a migration/conversion is performed on a company dataset. Clean Install of Sage 100 2019 plus PR 2.19.2 displays the Account and Employee NEW fields in User Maintenance Auto-complete tab 3 UNTIL a migration/conversion of data is done. Prior version 2018 record types for Customer, Vendor and Item remain.


    Sounds like the feature/fields get added until you migrate/convert?
