  • 1.  Audit of Roles assigned to users.

    Sage100 v 2022 but question also applies to v 2023.

    Auditor asked if there is a history of when roles were assigned/changed on a user.

    I was hoping that the activity log would have a row, with a linked text file - it does but it appears to only log changes to the user record itself, not the roles (and companies etc.) assigned to the user.

    Does anyone know of a way to get this information historically ?

    I would think this should be part of the text file, at the very least, even though a text file is not very secure.

    I don't think this exists yet... but might be included in v2024.  (I know the idea doesn't mention role permission changes...).

    If you need it going forward, reach out to @Alnoor Cassim.  He did a project for me this past summer regarding changes to the Vendor ACH table.  Perhaps he can work his magic for you.

    We are working with developers to provide a solution that captures this for a particular client also.  It is becoming a common ask.
