Since there apparently will not be a formal 90 Minds presence/event at Sage Summit in Atlanta, those of us who are attending should at least try to have an impromptu meet up. Off the top of my head I know of at least 11 members attending, so there must be more, plus affiliates. Post here if you are attending or send me a message.

(Note: This would NOT be a 90 Minds sanctioned event.)

This is not to be missed.  Don't quite know what the "magic" number needed to have a 90M event was.  It certainly isn't for lack of funds.  And it isn't for lack of lead time.  There were four plus months to plan the event.  If we had worried about a minimum number making an appearance, there would not have been the first MOTM.  Opportunities for sharing good times together do not happen often enough.  And what a lost opportunity for membership recruitment.  So sad!   To paraphrase a famous saying in Iowa, "If you plan it, they will come".......  So who is up for singing?? We are The Champions!!!!

I think a big part of this is always avoiding conflict with existing events.
Sage has events Monday and Tuesday
ISV event is Tuesday 8 pm to 11 pm

I was planning on taking advantage of someone else paying ( either Sage or ISV party ) and figured most people would gravitate to those events.

I agree with Wayne. Having participated in planning a number of the ISV happy hours for Sage Sessions last year, it was difficult to find a window and a venue with these shorter events. It would be great to get the group together informally, maybe during a lunch break or something. And we can all be on the lookout for any potential members to extend an invitation to.

John - Microsoft seems to agree with you about the "cool Cali kids".

To counter Slack's slick, millennial-centric branding, Microsoft is putting all of its weight behind Teams. That includes deep integration with its Office suite, as well as third-party apps ranging from Adobe (ADBE) Sign to Zoom (ZM) and dozens of others. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/microsoft-teams-versus-slack-155144582.html

Our company is moving to Teams in place of Skype for Business.  I notice that Sage used it for its recent production management sessions.

I will be there, and I also use Teams.  We left Slack for Teams.  I do think there are things Slack does better, but we are migrating everything over to the evil empire that is Microsoft, and thus Sharepoint is our new Dropbox.  Plus, access to files via the Teams app on my phone is pretty darn cool.

@alan niergarth As with most Microsoft software, I found the configuration of Teams to be way more than I want to involved with. I have used Slack previously and plan to start again. It is intuitive and easy to understand and use. For a small group like me, Teams would be too much.

I know not everyone will be there on Sunday, if they are driving in on Monday, so I vote for Monday at the Glenn Hotel.

I stayed at the Glenn the last time Summit was in Atlanta. It's a block from the Omni, if everyone remembers where that it. You may want to check to make sure the Skyline Lounge is open to us on Monday, @Bob Tobey, because when I was there they were having special (private) events, so I never made it to the roof.

    Thanks, Bob!

So far we have info on social as well as MARTA directions (you can star these to save for easy later review)

Make sure you figure out how to mute WhatsApp notifications as it might get noise during keynotes with comments. You should also mute overnight so as not to be notified when in for the evening.

Just caught up on all the fun here.

    1. I won't be at Summit this time. I've gone from Sage fanboy to Sage party pooper, I guess? (although I feel like they are the ones providing the poop to us). I will still miss hanging out with this motley assortment.

    2. Teams is amazing. Changed our lives for the better and our customers love it. Slack is great - possibly better than Teams in some regards (for now).

    3. I like Wayne's idea. The best booze is free booze - if Sage is paying, you all are crazy for not taking advantage and meeting up at their events.

    4. @Jim Woodhead and @Jeff Schwenk are 100%, hands-down the best at handing out drink tickets. My liver may protest, but really ... who needs a liver?

    5. Wayne is always pushing the envelope with new technologies. I personally agree with @Gary Feldman and don't like chasing new tech all the time. But it's nice to have someone like @Wayne Schulz who always knows about, and can explain, new tech!

I hope you all have a great time there!

Dammit @Peter Wolf, you should run for office with all your rah-rah pandering to both sides of the aisle poop!  LOL!

You will be missed for most of the time, but not if there are drink tickets to be handed out.  One less drinker means more tickets for the rest of us!

LOL - I just replied back to the Scott Ehman post in the other group. You can tell me how rah-rah I am after reading that. :)

As most of us in this group know, we are all in control of our own destinies. We can sit around complaining or we can set our sights on new stars and take action.

Luckily, we live in a world of amazing opportunities available to anyone who is willing to keep their eyes open and bust their ass. There are no wrong answers except to sit back and wring our hands and weep in our (hopefully free) beer.

I remember @Wayne Schulz talking about this new thing that lets you "tweet"  at one of the Summits, maybe Nashville?  Wayne did you buy stock?

I have not yet bought Twitter stock. I'm not sure I will as the stock seems to be moving mostly sideways. If they can't gain momentum when the leader of the free world uses it as his defacto press spokesperson then I'm not sure what will lift the fortunes of Twitter's stock price.

Sage being Jonny-On-The-Spot!  I didn't think I was invisible especially after checking in and getting a badge but I guess I was wrong!  Had a great time and it was fantastic seeing everybody.  The party continues tonight at Tin Lizzy's after PM training...6pm!

To conclude this thread, the impromptu meet up was a huge success made possible by @Bob Tobey and @Gary Feldman of I-Business Network. Thanks Bob and Gary! We had members, prospective members and many affiliates attending. No official total, but 50 - 60 may be close.

The best quote was from @Michelle Taylor "Totally awesome! Awesome view, awesome company, and most awesome hosts!!"

Thanks John and everyone who attended.  I also wanted to thank @John Shaver who was not at Summit but attended and entertained our mutual customer and the folks at CIM Cloud who always make the party more fun, but also contributed!
